Use of this website and participation in an auction constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

1. Any participant in an auction acts on his own will, his own behalf and for the account of the consignor. No VAT is charged on the hammer price. The commission fee (10% on the hammer price) and the annual fees are charged including VAT.
2. An evaluation and inspection of all items coming up for auction can be conducted, by appointment, in our warehouses.
3. All items are used items, the auction house cannot assume any liability or warranty for the specifications made. This is valid, in particular, for the authenticity and the condition of the items. For the auction of the items, the state is valid, in which the items were at the time of auctioning.
4. All items are described to the best of our knowledge. The descriptions do not constitute any warranted characteristics in terms of §§ 459 et sqq. BGB (German Civil Code).
5. RIEPENAU.COM reserves the right to collocate, separate or reject any lot.
6. The winning bid is awarded to the highest bidder, in reverse auctions to the first bidder.
7. By electronic registration on this site, the bidder agrees to the auction terms and conditions and is personally responsible for his actions. Acting on account for third parties is not allowed.
8. The hammer price is immediately due and payable in full. Items are only released upon payment of the full amount in the account of the auction house. If payment is not conducted or not conducted in full, the auction house reserves the right to put the items up again to auction at the buyer’s expense. In this case, the buyer is liable for the deficit incurred. Any rights, which he may exercise from preceding bids, will become null and void.
9. Objects can be collected in person or by a shipping service, upon appointment, at the auction house warehouse. Should the buyer instruct the auction house to arrange for the shipping of items, the cost of transport will be at the expense of the buyer.
10. The user bears the risk of damages due to software failures whatsoever.
